Murgese is not on general sale. Before it is, we want it run on real work by people who will tell us what breaks, and that is the whole of the pilot programme.
What you get
Free use of the software for the whole pilot, with the licence issued by us.
A pilot tester's price afterwards, held for two years from the day your licence starts. For Business edition it is the limited-offer price, even if your pilot ends after the offer closes. For Practice edition and Murgese Consolidate it is a price given in writing before your pilot ends, so nobody is asked to commit to a number they have not seen.
A direct line to the people building it. What you report is read and answered rather than logged.
What we ask
Run it on real work, or on a copy of real work, for at least four weeks.
Tell us what breaks, what is missing, and what is slower than whatever you use now. The third of those is the one most people leave out and the one we most want.
One short feedback call at the end, or a written note if you would rather.
Why it is worth the time
Because it is what has been changing the software. Three releases went out in a single day this week, and every one of them came from a real file that somebody outside this company put in front of it.
A migration produced the wrong figures because our own instructions named a menu rather than a report, and QuickBooks offers at least six reports answering to that description. We had been telling people to do the wrong thing for months.
A bank statement would not import at all. The bank writes the name of each column beside every figure for screen readers, at one twentieth of a point, and the software was reading type nobody can see as though it were printed on the page.
An account renamed in the chart went on showing its old name on the bank screen, because one name was being kept in two places.
None of those would have been found here. They were found because somebody was doing their own work on their own files, and told us what happened.
What it is not
It is not a trial that turns into an invoice. There is no obligation to buy anything at the end of it, and if the software does not suit the work you do, we would rather find that out together and say so.
It is not a way of shipping something unfinished and calling the customers testers. What is not ready is named on the status page, in public, and that page is kept current whether or not there has been a release.
And it is not open to everyone at once. It is a small number of firms, because a report that gets a considered answer is worth more than fifty that get an acknowledgement.
Who it suits
An accountancy practice, a business keeping its own books, a sole trader, a property or construction business, or a group finance team. You can apply for Murgese, for Murgese Consolidate, or for both.
If that sounds like you, the application is here and it takes a few minutes.
